Copying text directly from Word can bring hidden formatting into CORA, which may cause the text to display incorrectly on the site. To paste text cleanly:
- Copy the text from your Word document.
- In CORA, click the Paste from Word button in the editor toolbar. It looks like a clipboard with a “W” on it.
- Paste your copied text into the window that appears and click OK.
- Use CORA's editor toolbar to add any formatting you need, such as bold, italics, bullet points, headings, or links.
Tip: If you don't use the Paste from Word button, pasting with Ctrl+Shift+V (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+V (Mac) may also remove formatting, depending on your browser. However, Paste from Word is the preferred method for Word documents in CORA.
