Ariel Dyer works as a reference librarian and the Shafter Library liaison for Bakersfield College. She helped reopen the Shafter Library in conjunction with the City of Shafter, including conducting collection development, staff training and supervision, and policy writing. In her free time, she advocates for public libraries and public library funding in Kern County.
