Rachel Wen-Paloutzian | Archives and Special Collections Instruction Librarian
Rachel Wen-Paloutzian is the Archives and Special Collections Instruction Librarian in the William H. Hannon Library at Loyola Marymount University. Rachel collaborates with faculty from various disciplines to incorporate archives and special collections into academic curriculum. She facilitates active learning with students to build information literacy and critical thinking skills focusing on primary source materials, such as cultural artifacts and archival records. Rachel is the Curator of LMU Postcard Collections, and she is the Subject Liaison to the Asian and Asian American Studies Department. Prior to her current position, Rachel has served as Metadata Librarian for four years, building LMU Digital Collections and making special collections accessible online. Rachel holds a Master of Library and Information Science from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from USC. She is a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society.
