Laureen P. Cantwell is a Reference & Distance Services Librarian at Colorado Mesa University (previously Assistant Professor and Instructional Services Librarian at the University Libraries of the University of Memphis). She liaises with Mass Communications, all Business subjects, and the Western Colorado Community College (WCCC), but spearheads embedded librarian efforts for any and all disciplines as needed. Areas of research interest include: information, technology, and media literacies; GIS; public health; MOOCs; embedded librarianship; unique outreach opportunities; and emerging technologies, particularly within educational settings.
