Assignments Adapted

The students had already been assigned different cultures, for which they needed to design packaging for a snack food. Instead of using paper, our students wrote on large, re-stickable whiteboard clings. The students were grouped at four large tables, where they worked together on one topic. After a few minutes, the whiteboard clings were passed down the row of table. Each table had a certain color of marker, so we could see the progression of ideas as time went on.

After the problems had been passed to each group, the students used their devices to search the library catalog for relevant materials, and brought them back to the tables to continue research.
